IEI is a National Group of Nurses and Immunization Stakeholders committed to the greater awareness of immunization issues with an emphasis on education. This initiative serves as an umbrella under which future immunization programs and activities will be launched.

IEI members are committed to providing innovative and effective, evidence-based programs. Members strive to be recognized as credible and reputable resources by promoting advocacy and leveraging support with partnerships developed at local, provincial and national levels.

IEI members seek to create opportunities for leadership development of nurses by recognizing the unique role that they play in the immunization community.

IEI members engage all nurses and other immunization stakeholders in the promotion of immunization.

IEI members assess the strengths and challenges of past IEI initiatives with ongoing evaluation to allow for continuous improvement as well as assess where opportunities exist to increase the promotion of immunization.

IEI seeks representation from nurses and other stakeholders from different geographical regions across Canada and from a variety of backgrounds of experience and acts to provide broad representation from various professional sectors.
